Online Tutoring & Mentoring

Science Ready Tutoring Program

Science Ready Tutoring program is an online tutoring program. Students are provided with short videos as pre-work before each tutorial. This allows students to work through the syllabus content at their own pace, and develop questions independently.

Homework and detailed solutions are provided to students for each week’s topic. During each class, ~30 minutes will be allocated to answer specific questions students have from pre-work, and ~1 hour will be spent discussing application of concepts to exam style questions.

There are 5 students per class which run for 1.5 hours once a week. Students from the same school are usually grouped in the same class.

    Science Ready Mentoring Program

Science Ready Mentoring program offers online 1-on-1 support for students, instead of group classes. Each lesson runs for 1.5 hours and in a similar style as the tutoring program. Lesson times will be discussed during the first phone consultation.

Students part of the mentoring program will have access to additional help outside class times.

The mentoring program is suitable for students who have particular interests in pursuing a career or further studies in science and related fields (e.g. medicine).

The mentoring program aims to help students

    • achieve academic excellence in chemistry and physics
    • develop better time and work management skills
    • gain an insight into career paths related to science
